Lavboard privacy policy
Lavboard, the iPhone and iPad app for wireless lav mics, collects no data about you. Your recordings, transcripts and edits stay on your device.
Everything stays on your device
Recordings, track names, tape colours, transcripts and edits are saved in Lavboard's folder on your iPhone or iPad, which you can open in the Files app. Lavboard has no account and no server, and sends nothing to us. If iCloud Backup is on, iOS includes Lavboard's files in your backup, as it does for every app.
Microphone
Lavboard uses the microphone, and any wireless receiver or audio interface you plug in, to show levels, mix and record. It only records when you tap Record, and the audio never leaves the device unless you share or export it.
Transcription
Transcripts are made on your device by Apple's speech recognition. The first time you transcribe in a language, iOS downloads Apple's language model for it. Your audio isn't sent anywhere.
Purchases
Lavboard Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells Lavboard only whether Pro is unlocked, never who you are or how you paid.
No analytics or tracking
Lavboard has no analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party code that collects data. If you choose to share crash reports with developers in iOS Settings, Apple passes them on without identifying you.
When you share
Files you export or share go where you send them, such as AirDrop, Mail or another app. What happens to them there is up to you and that service.
